The expectation is that DASH will simplify operations and processes at UT, while ensuring the processes meet users’ needs. As part of the DASH Project, the UT System will adopt a culture of continuous improvement through technology. Rather than configuring software to current operations, the way we all work will change as we adopt new functionality through DASH.
The tech team is focused on converting data from IRIS to DASH and on integration with other applications. Solutions that are retained and integrated with IRIS will be integrated with DASH. With regard to interfaces, the DASH project team identifies the authoritative source when possible. For example, DASH is the source for employee assignments (including student workers), payroll and the chart of accounts data. The tech team is converting data from IRIS to DASH and creating an integration process that is as close as possible to what you currently receive from or send to IRIS today.
